but I hope it gets fixed because it's annoying. Maybe I'll take up learning X3 scripting and add it to my collection of programming things to learn

Thanks for that! I do know XML, quiet extensively, so I'll look into this if I get a chance and see what I can come up with. I'm a busy guy though, so I don't know when that will be, probably the weekend.

I installed it and it wants to work, renamed my adv sats with the menu in the trade console to add the trade beacon, but the new ship I bought for theis says that the pilot is not of a high enough level to do this so I made him a sector trader until he get to level 8, is this correct

A little "Heads Up" on a possible problem: When I go to the ".spk" version to down load all I get is a page of ASCII code. Or did I miss something between page 1 and page 15 of this thread. I admit to not reading all of the pages.

I would really like to see this working.. I love the idea but all i get from .spk file is a bunch of letters... =[ ( I tryed to copy and pasting it into a text file and ya... but X plug in manager says does not support old .spk file... and the other file doesn't even work.. can someone just give me a link to a re packed version by any chance

right click on the .spk on the first page. choose save as then change the extension from .htm to .spk and it'll work.

It's amazing how many people keep trying to download & use the .spk file on the first page after a multitude of posts in this thread mention a) the spk is packaged wrong b) the author is missing in action.

Just DL the .zip file and re-package it yourself... It's not that complicated, I just started playin X3:R for the first time over the past month, Cycrow's Script Installer & Packager are very good and EASY to use tools.

So far this script runs quite nicely in Vanilla X3 IF you read the instructions and manually installed it correctly or repackaged it correctly.
I've installed XTM and will be checking it there and post my finding since i'm reading others mentioning XTM compatibility issues...

shame Zzyn is still missing-in-action....

I looked everywhere for this script as Zzyn appears to have dropped off the face of the Earth (hope he's okay) and the site he had hosted the original downloads to is now expired.

After checking every blasted link in all the pages of this thread, I only found an active link to a fix in one of the XML files here http://www.fire-fish.net/MISC/x3/UTScri ... UT_fix.zip.

Still no word on anyone reposting the original full version, however.

I definitely don't mind people using the script and am looking for an original version of it as well. I had a massive computer meltdown and lost most of my important stuff.. ;-( If someone does find it, feel free to post the linky! :-p

I 'think' I found somewhere that is hosting a .rar of the file, but I can't read the language on the page.
