ok, i got the 'invalid package' message
then i used 'spkconvert' to convert a new .spk-file
but when i try to install this the plugin-manager tells me this .spk-file is for X2-the threat!

Edit: btw, I'm running X3:TC. But I understand this script is compatible. In fact, is it compatible with ANY version?

Actually the "script" is a mod. I would suggest to download the zip file and installing it as Fake patch (as described in the FAQ above).

It's hard to give you any concrete answer. Especially without knowing your system specs or any information about your current fps ingame. (An increase of 1-2 fps might be fine for someone with low fps, but might be not noticeable for someone with constantly 30 fps.)

So, what about trying it out?

Looked through the Vanilla safe mods thread, this is one of the mods listed.

However, will the updating of the spk remove the signature/whitelist compatibility?

No, that shouldn't make any difference. If a mod is a vanilla safe that normally means that the files that this mod changes don't have a signature at all.

have the same problem with the old spk format and when i go to the link posted earlier, i cant find a download link of the spkconverter, me sad bunny

?or is it already installed by installing the plugin manager

edit2: but my fancy google skillZ are useless. just able to get my hands on an horrible old spk file which the plugin manager lite cant embed and the package explorer cant open

I only have the .spk also, but why not unpack the .spk, and then make a zip

Btw..this is the .spk I have:
lowpolyroids-2.04 medium.spk

Also, this page host many files and they have low and medium of this file. Just scroll down to Low poly:

i use spk-explorer v 1.20 to open spk.
it says:

invalid package file:
[path]

doesn't appear to be a valid package

want to use it with ap, have killed the ugly old addsigns floating in space succesfully. now i need to gain a bit of extra performance for important scripts, mods and bigger battles in roid-plagued sectors

oki, I use X3 editor 2 from this site: http://cycrow.thexuniverse.us/.

When I find old spk files that dont work I just use open in script packager then just save again and the file work.

Anyway, I uploaded the X3 editor, the spk's, unpacked spk's and put it all into a rar file. I hope some will work for you. Here is the link:
