wide screen support (16x9 and/or 16x10) would be appreciated, I am bored to see oval planets. :oops:

On top of all the other suggestions and thats what we are doing - Suggesting. I think my biggest wish is the ability to Remove a weapon from a WeaponSlot on the HUD. Maybe Im the only one who has this, but if I have an unassigned weapon free and a free weaponslot, I can go to the HUD weapons bit on the bottom right and add the weapon in to it. If however I want to play around with the positioning of my weapons I cannot remove a weapon from the slot if there are no more unassigned weapons in my cargo, meaning I have to go into the menu option.

Another option is one that has been mentioned time and time again - Les HUD boxes around everything.

Also for the HUD (And I have mentioned this many times in the past but no one has ever made comment or agreement, which leads me to believe I am the only one that notices this) is look at the X2 HUD and also the "What was supposed to be" HUD in the X3 loading screens, and you'll see they are graphically better looking HUD\Targetting GFX. X3's has this black outline that makes all the HUD look a bit gimmicky and comical in contrast to the beautiful sight of a station GFX as you fly by.

lol ever shop at k-mart? I can find you sega saturan games and accessories at the full price of when it first came out! not only that but ps1 games still at full price with the same game next it cheaper only because it has the greatest hits title. i dont know where you shop at but alot of retailers refuse to lower prices of anything unless they have someone smart running their program. and in most cases that is not the case.

I believe the intention was to make the game like morrowind where it takes you an unbelievable amount of time to accomplish collecting everything. the realism of rising through the ranks and then commanding capitol ships ov every race is ment to be something absurdly time consuming go join the navy and lets see how quicly u end up commanding a fleet of ships.

As for the energy thing i believe that you should be able to use energy cells in emergencies to restock ur enrgy in the more heated of the fire fights

I would like to see the sector map interface overhauled so you can:

- Select multiple ships using CTRL & SHIFT
- Bind groups of ships to a key
- Give orders to selected ships by right clicking on the map (attack ship, move here etc)

Other stuff:

- Subsystems on large ships such as engines etc that are targetable areas, i.e. if you shoot the engine on an M2 it will start to loose speed, turrets can be damaged etc.
- Downgrade weapons (longer battles are more fun).
- Long range/inaccurate flak/ballistic weapons for cap ships to give a battlestar like firing solution. Some weapons currently have a range less than the length of the ship(!)
- Make the capships larger compared to other ships, I want to fly by my fleet and feel awed.
- Can assign escorts to UTs that use the UTs ecells when jumping.

Completely disagree. I *want* there to be things to look forward to after playing for a while. What's the point of a game where you can do everything in the first week of playing? You wouldn't bother playing any more.

I agree with the sentiments expressed by Octessence and others who would like to see capitol ships virtually unattainable without hundreds of hours of work put in. Empire building should be a long and hard battle, instead of a quick weekend fix. i find the nectar in the idea that the more you put in the more you get out. :)

I have gotto agree and ask at the same time; If your rep isn't high enough after earning the 80 million credits (+ double that for the amount spent on factories, ships, etc.) then its best to use a different script.

1) rebalance shield (go down too easy)
2) The pirate /xenon/ must respawn in their base
3) A.I. of autopilot must be fixed
4) corvettes, increase their speed and maneuverability

for all the rest, there is time.

It would be cool for the cockpits to have translucent monitors that can be turned on or off and if you could move your view around and spin in the cockpit and have buttons inside........Like real spaceships and the Columbia......like IL2 Sturmovik.

If EGOSOFT said they were only going to fix three more things. These three would be the ones I'd choose. The AI of the autopilot would be my number one priority because ships are destroying themselves.

Im not sure if anyone else finds this annoying but Ive never played an X game before and I find the warp gates irritating. Why does the auto pilot always fly so close to the edge of the gate? and therefore wastes your time trying to guide itself through. Why dont they make the autopilot fly towards the centre of the gate automatically? also the autopilot has crashed me into an asteriod in herrons nebula a few times which is annoying.

These are small problems though. I think egosoft should fix the sound loop crashes! they are probably having trouble finding the bugged code though.

A major problem Ive found is when someone lets of one of those big blue mushroom cloud missle things? I dont have any of them yet so I dont know what they are called? anyway my framerate drops to nothing when that explosion appears on screen and I dont know why. I read about someone else with the same issue though. That should definitely be fixed.

This is to stop you flying into TL or capital ships that come through the centre of the gate. Also, the pilot's autopilot is no different from the AI autopilot. If every ship aimed for the middle, they would keep flying into eachother.

This is pretty far from the top of the list BUT, when the "Enemy-is-close" music initiates I would like it to play the 5-odd tracks randomly/sequentially, anything but the same track over & over & over again.....Need some variety while clearing those Xenon sectors. :)

Thanks for explaining that octessence although Ive never had a crash with a ship when flying manually into the centre of the gate. Is it possible to get like "telefragged" at the gate ?

Oh and I almost forgot..its probably been mentioned before but
the storyline is flawed, that definitely needs fixing
