Terran Self Sustained Shipyard Final Version v2.1

Post by Zamiex » Sun, 11. Apr 21, 19:15

Final version of my previous Post with the Terran Christmas Tree now with In game pics as i managed to build it!

Some updates were done to the v2 version that was available earlier here to fix the material requirements for ships vs production.
What i noticed after v2 was built that terran ships that are fully terran fitted require more substrates than anything else, microlattices after that and least are the carbides, the production was fixed to this so that according to my rudimentary calculations starting from a 0 point the station could theoretically build an asgard every 2 hours fully fitted (excluding deployables).

Total cost i think in the end was around 900 Million credits to build/buy resources exlcuding getting the needed blueprints for the ships, equipment and ship production modules (EMP for the rest of the station parts :P ) this will set you back another billion or so.

Currently i have placed it in Gaian Prophecy and it requires: 1 L Ice miner, 4 L Gas miners, 10 L Ore miners, 15 L Silicon Miners (made them all hokkaidos as this is my terran only campaign :P)
The pimped out Hokkaidos will set you back another 18mil each...so yeah Terran prices.

Station Calculator (warning does NOT take into account the armament of its many defensive platforms)

NICE BUILD!!

I recently went vertical myself with a Teladi Nostrop Oil factory ... I call it the Nostropolis and will be posting the .XML's at a later date.

Now that's impressive.

Question though, how long does it take to be fully built? (Assuming a max load of construction drones, which I'm guessing you'll need)

Think it was completed over the course of a few days of playing a few hours a day, dont remember exactly how long but its not quite as long as you might expect, the structure isnt all that dense and the most common components are actually connectors which dont take that long to build, the slowest are the defence bridges and discs.

Add up total modules to be built and the fastest without SETA is 60s or one minute per module regardless of drone count. Factor in SETA speed if used and you'll arrive at the real time spent.

First of all awesome work on this station its design is the one i use most of time in my shipyards once i have expanded my terran infastructure around.

Some things i wasnt happy was how long it can take to build first production modules and other modules when you are building in safe space. And i did add casino and den to the build and extra dock space as well since sometime you just need ships docked to mod them.

So i choped this station in 5 parts
1st part Frame(only production and storage)
2nd part warf so S and M class ships
3rd part L shipyards
4th part XL shipyards
5th last all the def platforms and extra container storage
