[7.0 beta 4] docking often sends player to a far away dock

I'm at the paranid trading station in pious mists

if you use the dock hotkey - the game used to choose the nearest unoccupied landing pad. Right now the game seems to choose randomly from available landing pads. Is it intended?

One undesirable result, if the player flies towards a landind pad, they will often be redirected to the other side of the station for docking.

actually, not random.... it seems to choose a specific one repeatedly until I move.
but sometimes not.
