After many tries and fails here it is a working Example of a modded weapon and the files needed and edited to make it work on X4.
-Anyone can get it at a early state of the game, it can only be used by Small types of ships.

Your asking why only a (x4 Dmg) on this weapon? it should be OP

well the thing is when i was testing it (kill sh*+ with a super OP version of it) some enemy ship killed me with it O_0, i got one shot, didn't even see from where but at full shields, hull and moving around......hummmm lol; since every ship in the game can use any weapon even the modded ones, i turned it down to only (x4 Dmg).

you can boost it up if you know what to edit but remember that npc's will use it too.

Until i or someone else can figure out how to limit the modded weapon to player use only/owned ships, there nothing i can do for now.

i only tested this mod on a extensions folder in the game root folder, don't know if it can be used on the steam folder or in the Documents\Egosoft\...... folder

Test it, mod it, do a complete overhaul of every weapon, have fun.
