How do I repair a captured Titurel?

Hi guys, having finally figured out how to capture a Titurel, I am now the proud owner of a floating piece off space junk in dire need of repairs. I put a captain on board, as well as an engineer, and he fixed the hull and a couple of engines. But I can't figure out how to fix the rest. The weapons are destroyed, there are no shields, and the ship won't move at all, even to follow me to the nearest station. I've read a few old threads about how the Titurel is bugged. Is that true or am I missing something? Thanks!
