oh, you can change the direction of missiles, but you have to do it via "position" commands. if you take an affected missile, calculate its displacement due to velocity each frame, and keep manually moving it towards the spacefly, you could simulate the missile actually following the spacefly. that'...

correct. that's basically what i've struggled with while developing AdvJumper. I've even tried to get around the problem by temporarily removing all trade wares if there's not enough room for the e-cells (such as on a full TS), but there's no way to make the jump happen without the cells for fuel.
